Dr. Malaika Marable Serrano is the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) at Guild. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the strategic integration of DEIB principles and best practices throughout the organization. Prior to assuming this role, Malaika served as the inaugural Head of DEI at WorldStrides, bringing a wealth of experience from various leadership and faculty positions within the realm of international education. 

Widely recognized as an expert in her field, Malaika is a frequent presenter at conferences and has made substantial contributions to the discourse on DEIB through numerous published articles and book chapters. Her commitment to fostering inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments is rooted in personal experiences, including living abroad in Latin America and Australia. 
 
Malaika's academic journey is distinguished by her attainment of a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts from the University of Maryland, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Actively involved in the broader international education community, Malaika sits on the Board of Directors for NAFSA: Association of International Educators and Fulbright Canada. Presently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, she shares her home with her two school-aged children, bringing a wealth of global perspectives to both her professional and personal pursuits.
